Dr. Russell Shute

With more than 20 years’ experience across metropolitan and rural general practice, including Aboriginal health services, Russell brings a breadth of expertise and understanding of illness management.  He endeavours to provide care in a compassionate and practical way that meets people where they are.

Russell has held senior roles in Palliative Care, supporting patients and families through complex and life-limiting illness with dignity and respect, and has also worked as a medical writer specialising in the Quality Use of Medicines — experience that informs his careful, safety-conscious approach to prescribing.
